Our Mission

The R.O.Y.A.L Project’s mission is to provide a safe and encouraging environment for Black teen girls to feel seen, valued, and empowered. Our goal is to remind them of their greatness, to instill a sense of cultural pride and to celebrate their unique identity. By participating in the program, they can also develop a strong sense of self-worth, confidence, and leadership skills.

Our Purpose

Our goal is to dismantle the stereotypes that Black teenage girls often face. These stereotypes include being aggressive, having a bad attitude, and engaging in illegal activities. These stereotypes are both harmful and inaccurate. We must challenge and dismantle such stereotypes and recognize Black teenage girls' diverse experiences and individuality.

There is no doubt that Black teenage girls have their own unique personalities, talents, and ambitions. They CAN achieve academic excellence, engage in positive relationships, and contribute positively to their school and community.

Life skills

We celebrate and promote the rich history and cultural heritage of black girls, empowering them to embrace their identity, celebrate their achievements, and contribute positively to society.
