MD3 Next Generation Scholarship AWARD

The MD3 Next Generation Scholarship is a heartfelt tribute in memory of Minthie, Daniel, and Danny, my beloved parents and brother, whose lives and passions continue to inspire excellence and leadership in the next generation. This annual award supports a student involved in The R.O.Y.A.L. PROJECT from any school or district who embodies the spirit of perseverance, personal growth, and well-rounded excellence. 

MD3 represents the initials of Minthie, Daniel, and Danny. Each of them left a unique and powerful legacy:

• Minthie—A champion spelling bee competitor and math whiz, she embodied academic excellence, precision, and a love of learning.
• Daniel—Though circumstances prevented him from finishing school, he was deeply passionate about education and instilled in his children the belief that learning is a gateway to opportunity and success.
• Danny—A remarkable athlete excelling in football, basketball, and baseball, Danny exemplified dedication, teamwork, and leadership on and off the field.

The MD3 Next Generation Scholarship is open to any student participating in the R.O.Y.A.L. PROJECT from any school or district who demonstrates a commitment to personal growth and community involvement. Eligibility requirements include:

• Maintaining at least 80% attendance in both school and R.O.Y.A.L. PROJECT group meetings.
• Demonstrating resilience by overcoming personal or academic obstacles.
• Showing consistent hard work and dedication in education, extracurricular activities, or community service.
• Exemplifying determination, strong character, and commitment to growth.
• While academic achievement, leadership, and athletic involvement are valued, students do not need to have perfect grades but should display perseverance and a passion for learning.

• This is a financial award presented annually to one outstanding student who carries forward the MD3 legacy of perseverance, passion, and excellence.
• Recipients become part of the MD3 Scholar Network and join a community dedicated to positive change.
• Award amounts may vary each year depending on available funding.

• Complete the official R.O.Y.A.L. PROJECT application and express interest in the MD3 Next Generation Scholarship.
• Submit a personal statement describing your journey, educational goals, community involvement, and how you have overcome obstacles through the R.O.Y.A.L. PROJECT.
• Provide a letter of recommendation from a teacher or mentor.

Through the MD3 Next Generation Scholarship, we honor Minthie, Daniel, and Danny by investing in students who demonstrate perseverance, passion, and the drive to succeed—regardless of grades. We believe education opens doors, and every student deserves the chance to realize their potential.
